Ella is a dedicated Local Board member for Puketāpapa, bringing a wealth of expertise in local government, particularly in the areas of arts and culture, libraries, sport and recreation, economic development, and community planning. With over two decades of leadership experience, Ella has served on several boards of trustees, including Mt Roskill Primary and Grammar, where her strategic insight and governance skills have contributed to the advancement of education and community engagement.

Currently, she serves on the Roskill Together Board. She is the founder and Chair of the inaugural Puketāpapa Business Association, showcasing her commitment to fostering local business growth and economic development. In addition to her governance roles, Ella is a Justice of the Peace and a marriage celebrant, underscoring her dedication to community service and civic involvement. Her passion for nurturing vibrant, connected communities is evident in her work.
